This kitchen-sink cocktail goes down just as smoothly in gelatin form, and sets the perfect tone for a barbecue or other warm-weather gathering.
1 ½ cups Diet Coke
¼ cup lelmon simple syrup
3 envelopes Knox gelatin
¼ cup vodka
¼ cup gin
¼ cup rum
¼ cup tequila
¼ cup Triple Sec
25 bamboo skewers and small lemon wedges for serving, if desired
- Combine the Diet Coke and lemon syrup in a medium saucepan and sprinkle with the gelatin. Allow the gelatin to soak for a minute or two. Heat over very low heat until the gelatin is dissolved, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the liquors, stirring well to blend. Pour into a 9″x9″ pan and refrigerate until fully set, several hours or overnight.
- To serve, cut into small circles or squares. Thread a small lemon wedge onto each bamboo skewer, followed by two small jello shots. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
