8 regular size tea bags or 4 family size tea bags
4 cups boiling water
12 cups cold water
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon baking soda
Directions – How to Make Sweet Tea
Dust your gallon size container with the baking soda and drop your tea bags in. Add the sugar to boiling water and stir briefly before pouring into your gallon container. Cover your container and allow it to steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and dispose of them. Add in your cold water and allow it to cool before drinking. Serve over ice and add a slice of lime or lemon.
